Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 10, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how CourseMind collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use our course management, AI study, upload, billing, and account features.
1. Information we collect
Account information, such as your email address, authentication provider, invite code, locale, plan, credits, subscription status, and settings.
Google sign-in information, when you choose Google login, such as your verified email, name, profile image, and provider account identifier. We use Google data only to authenticate your account and operate CourseMind.
Course and study content you provide, including uploaded files, file names, extracted text, images or visual context, course names, notes, prompts, AI chat messages, generated explanations, quizzes, study guides, flashcards, keywords, and material metadata.
Billing and usage information, such as orders, subscription status, credit transactions, model usage logs, credit estimates, plan changes, and payment-provider event metadata. CourseMind does not store full payment card numbers.
Operational information, such as security logs, rate-limit signals, feedback, support messages, notifications, and technical data needed to run and protect the service.
2. How we use information
We use information to create and secure accounts, parse uploaded materials, generate AI study outputs, organize courses, answer course-aware questions, manage credits and subscriptions, provide support, prevent abuse, improve reliability, and comply with legal or tax obligations.
We may use aggregated or de-identified operational data to understand feature usage, pricing, model cost, reliability, and abuse patterns. We do not sell your uploaded course materials.
3. Uploaded course materials and AI processing
CourseMind processes uploaded materials to extract text, create course context, generate explanations, quizzes, flashcards, study guides, and related features. Depending on the feature, content may be sent to third-party AI providers, OCR or document-processing services, storage providers, database providers, payment providers, email providers, authentication providers, or hosting infrastructure.
AI outputs may be inaccurate or incomplete. You should review generated content against your original materials and course requirements.
Do not upload highly sensitive personal information, confidential records, materials you do not have permission to use, exam leaks, or content that violates law, school policy, or third-party rights.
4. Third-party services
We rely on service providers to operate CourseMind, including hosting, database, file storage, AI model providers, payment processors, email delivery, authentication, analytics or observability tools if enabled, and security services.
These providers may process information only as needed to provide their services to us, subject to their own terms and legal obligations.
5. Retention and deletion
We keep account, billing, security, and tax records for as long as needed to operate the service, resolve disputes, comply with law, and protect the platform.
Uploaded files, extracted text, generated study assets, and AI chats may be retained until you delete them, close your account, or ask us to remove them, unless we need to keep limited records for security, payment, legal, or backup reasons.
6. Security
We use access controls, authentication checks, ownership checks, storage controls, rate limits, webhook signature verification, and other safeguards designed to protect user data. No online service can guarantee perfect security.
7. Your choices and rights
You may update account settings, delete materials where the product allows it, choose whether to store some conversations, and contact us to request access, correction, deletion, or export of your personal information.
If you use Google login, you may manage connected app access through your Google account settings. Removing access may affect your ability to sign in with Google.
8. Children
CourseMind is not intended for children under 13. Do not use CourseMind if you are under 13. If we learn that we collected personal information from a child under 13 without appropriate consent, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
9. International use
Your information may be processed in countries where CourseMind, our infrastructure, or our service providers operate. By using CourseMind, you understand that data may be transferred and processed outside your location.
